Skirtie/Skirty how-to? [Mar. 3rd, 2008|12:28 pm]
We are here to help!

anyone have any how-to advice on skirties?

I've been using the soaker pattern posted by cyntergomes in punk_knitters (here if you're unfamiliar with it), and can practically follow the pattern in my sleep.

So... how do I do a skirtie? or, how do YOU do a skirtie? Are there any patterns out there (free or pay)?

Thanks in advance!!!

What i did when I make mine for my store is knit a soaker. And then after you are done, pick up stitches underneath the waist band. After you pick up the stitches, the next row knit in the front and the back of each stitch so that you have double the amount stitches.

then knit the skirts as lon as you want and i put a border of seed stitch or garter to stop it curling. I do like 7-10 rows

These are ones you pay for:

I usually just pick up a row of stitches and then increase gradually. :)
