We are here to help!
I would like to make my friends daughter a felted princess hat for her 3rd birthday. This is the pattern I found:|
Luckly, I have an ungodly amount of yarn to choose from. I have peace fleece, 3ply purewool and patton's classic merino. I've never felted anything before. Any suggestion on which yarn would felt up the best?
peace fleece is very sturdy and is harder to felt (but not impossible).
the patons and the purewool both felt really easily.
thank you so much. now I just have to choose!
peace fleece would not be my choice! Its challenging to felt!
that's what I thought. I remember reading that some people machine wash their pf longies, so I could only imagine how hard it would be to felt!
thank you. :)
I'd do the Paton's...mostly because it's cheaper. LOL
I got my purewool through a coop, so I think it worked out to being about the same price. but you are right. I rather save the purewool for some girly longies. it's softer!
Yeah...I meant more like Paton's is cheaper just by value. :)
Oh, man. My daughter would love that hat to bits.
isn't it cute?! My daughter is totally freaked out by stuff like that. If I can make it for her, I need to make it for someone!
Haha, here is a typical outfit for my daughter:
I bought her a new dress the other day and she asked me where the matching shoes were! I couldn't believe it. Haha.
